Three Reasons to Do Yoga Outdoors

The only thing better than doing yoga, is doing yoga outdoors.

As you may know, I am a supporter of yoga. Our lives are so stressful and jam-packed nowadays, that I am a huge supporter of anything that brings you a little balance and clarity. Relaxation is an absolute necessity when it comes to mental health, especially if you are juggling a career, a social life, and a family. Doing yoga has proven benefits to your health, and doing it outside is even better. Here are three main reasons why:

Being in nature boosts your focus, and creates feelings of relaxation. If you have ever visited a park in the middle of your day and come away feeling more grounded, then you know what I am talking about. If your yoga routine is getting boring or stagnant, taking it outside is a surefire way to rejuvenate your spirit.

Fresh air not only brightens your mood, but it can also give your immune system a little boost. Sometimes during our stressful work days, a little fresh air can make a huge difference, and an even bigger difference when coupled with a quick yoga sesh.

Doing yoga outdoors can also increase your confidence, since it is most likely outside your comfort zone. It may be hard to do yoga in public the first time, but afterwards it will feel like second nature to you, and may just be the little push your confidence needs.
