How to Drink Your Antioxidants

Fight free radicals with this daily drink.

If there is one thing we know about aging, it’s that free radicals are our enemy. Luckily, antioxidants can help combat the oxidation process in our cells, and they can be found in a variety of foods.

Fruits like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are all high in antioxidants, and make a great snack here and there. If however, you would like a more regular, daily way of getting your antioxidant fix, may I suggest green tea with lemon?

On its own, green tea is chock full of antioxidants, which help fight inflammation, increase your metabolism, and aid in weight loss and fat burning. So if you are thinking of cutting down on the coffee, green tea is a great substitute with 25-35 mg of caffeine per cup. Adding lemon to your tea increases the amount of polyphenols, which can help boost digestion, support brain health, protect against heart disease and even combat certain kinds of cancers.

Not only will it change the outlook of your entire day, but it will give you helpful antioxidants to keep you healthy, youthful, and fresh.
